Konvoi Kembara Sarawak Merdeka began their journey from the Mukah Division on Saturday morning, 17th June 2023, heading towards their next destination, the Sibu Division, at the Dewan Suarah Mesra Mukah premises. The convoy departure ceremony was officiated by Dato Sri Fatimah Abdullah, the (Minister of Women’s Development, Children, and Community Welfare Sarawak). Also present were Dato Hanifah Hajar Taib, (Deputy Minister of Economy and Member of Parliament for Mukah); Datu Hii Chang Kee, (Deputy Secretary of the Sarawak State Government (Operations)); Royston Valentine, (State Assemblyman for Tellian); Abdul Yakub Arbi, (State Assemblyman for Balingian), and several other prominent figures. Hundreds of local residents were also present, enlivening the atmosphere in celebration of 60 tahun Kemerdekaan Sarawak anniversary.
